	Aotea New Zealand Souvenirs is 100% New Zealand owned and operated.
	The Aotea Group commenced trading in 1979 in Auckland with one store in Takanini. This quickly expanded to three stores in 1980.
	By 1988 there were five large stores in operation employing nearly 80 staff, with the Aotea Head Office situated close to the Auckland Store.
	Our Takanini store was sold in 1994 due to changing patterns in tourism. The other three stores are located in Rotorua, Christchurch and Queenstown.
	The stores are each centrally located close to major hotels and local sights. The stores range in size from 3500 to 6000 square feet. Our stores stock mostly New Zealand made merchandise.

Our mission is to be the best Tourist Retailer in New Zealand. We will achieve this by having a quality product range, computerised systems for efficient point of sale service and administration, skilled management and a shop environment equal to the best retail shops in the world.

Our staff are continually educated and tested and are able to explain product features and answer questions competently, understanding customer needs.

Continuing to improve in these areas will allow Aotea to achieve its mission.
