Backpackers and long term hirers coming to New Zealand to experience our beautiful country, can rent a budget priced car on a long-term basis for as little as per $30 day! (minimum 25 days)

New Zealand offers wide, safe two-lane roads with left hand drive requirements. Larger cities host well-signposted motorways that are simple to follow.

Speeds are comparable to the USA with open road or motorway speeds being 100kph (60mph), and 50kph (30mph) through towns. We recommend the use of automatic transmission vehicles for those travellers unfamiliar with NZ road conditions. Wearing seat belts is mandatory and young children must be in child car restraints.
